    Aaeru,you are a girl,right?

  • runan  On 20/12/2010 at 10:41 pm

    What’s the reason for a girl can’t like Visual Novel? (_ _|||)
You know, they have those otome games (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ~~♥

    • Nameless  On 11/11/2011 at 5:46 pm

Its probably what she really likes. I don’t see the reason why she lying to herself with all those filthy cutesy girls on her site. Moe and Yuri both suck! Bishounens and Yaoi rule!!

  • Nameless  On 11/11/2011 at 5:42 pm

Hey what gives Aaerul. You just said earlier in one yours posts that “Moe-Ge Suck.” So why do you still have moe on your site? Care to explain your hypocrisy?

Aaerul, if you don’t like moe, there are always bishounens out their ready to cuddle you with all the “emotions” in the world. You will never see those filthy moeblobs ever again. While you’re at it, you might wanna try Boys Love. Its all the range with the women nowadays. Even bisexuals and lesbians cannot escape the artificial charm of the bishounens. So what are you waiting for Aaerul. Make the transition already.

    • AzuAzu  On 11/11/2011 at 6:02 pm

Hey what gives, Faggot. Bishounens have artificial charm and Bishoujos don’t? Care to explain your shitty logic?

Visual Novels isn’t all about moeblobs. How about you try some decent games that actually have a good storyline and not just your moe H crap. You might then realise that most of your “moe” girls are all faking it.

      PS: I don’t like you.

      • Nameless AKA American Comics for Life  On 11/11/2011 at 6:22 pm

LOLOL Oh the irony, you have K-ON!, a shitty moeblob show with no story/dialogue as and you come and say that shit to me? Hilarious. Of course, moe/bishoujo girls are the lowest form of trash possible, looked down at by the fans and non-fans(as myself) alike, it has no place in entertainment. Its such a pity anime fans are too weeabooish to figure that out.

I myself am GLAD that I quit Anime. It just sucks today! And you know what, American comics are BETTER. It takes up to 100 shitty mangos to equate to just one American comic. Oh and visual novels, lol worst entertainment ever, Fate/Stay Night and Kara no Shoujo, they’re good but nothing compared to great comics like “Sandman” and “Ghostrider”. I pity you weeaboos. Too bad you don’t have it like us.

  • Nameless AKA American Comics for Life  On 11/11/2011 at 7:05 pm

Alright, before I quit nagging here(since I already know I gonna get my ass ban-hammered anyway), I wanna know, why do you like “moe girls”, what draws you to them. What’s the big deal with them. Why don’t you like guys that much? Are you a lesbian? Bisexual?

I’m have nothing against bisexuals/gays/lesbians, I just wanna know why they behave like that? I really don’t get why girls would like stuff originally made for males. It doesn’t make any sense. Its just like how the straight guys/lesbians like seeing that flowery guys being gay(very creepy) with each other or bisexual girls/straight girls like seeing ecchi, moeblob crap, and yuri?

Anyways, I will abstain from posting any further. And I do keep my promise……

    • Aaeru  On 11/11/2011 at 7:13 pm

I dunno isn’t it exactly the same for guys? The girls are soooo ridiculously cute and some of them have awesome dresses/uniforms i could only Dream of wearing (seriously they dress like flowers), i mean how can anyone Not like?

      • Nameless  On 11/11/2011 at 8:16 pm

I apologize for my insincere, childish, rude, disrespectful behavior. I admit my whole life is in shattered ruins. I have no direction, no life, and its been like this for the past 4 years. What have I been doing for the past 4-5 years of my life. Trolling. Praying on others emotional thoughts of others. All these years I’ve been deriving joy from inflicted emotional pain to others, only to find myself hurt the most.

Its pathetic you ask. Indeed it is. I envy people like you who are able to maintain a polite, calm stature even in the presence of those who seek malice(or my case, an idiot/attentionwhore).

But I praise you, and everyone like you for being truthfully honest and passionate in
what you like. Again, pardon for such behavior and feel free to delete these blog posts. Again sorry for this.

    • Demon  On 30/12/2011 at 4:25 pm

I always hate to admit but… I like “some” yaoi, mostly traps. I think the guys are so cute, I don’t care if their a boy or a girl, so I read it… and the turn on is about the same when I look at my normal hentai.

      • That guy who you answered his question on yahoo answer  On 02/01/2012 at 10:32 am

Traps…Oh god. I fell for it in Porn, and hentai.
Fap fap fap fap oh man I’m gonna CU
*See’s the dick and realizes it’s a trap
        FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • AzuAzu  On 11/11/2011 at 7:22 pm

LOLOL Oh the irony, you don’t like visual novels, yet you spend your oh-so-precious time going through a VISUAL NOVEL blog. Yeah I agree, K-On! is crap, but Azusa is awesome. It’s like the awesome characters in Koisora but the game is a piece of shit.

Visual Novels are mainly based on romance, and you’re trying to compare them to your american sh-… i mean comics based on Action. Your american shit is all just superheroes in different colors and shapes doing the same shit anyway. You might want to take on your own suggestion and try read some BL since you’re just reading macho men doing macho stuff anyway,

“bishoujo girls are the lowest form of trash possible” ? Wtf, you have weird tastes. I must say that leads me to think that you’re a sad little wimpy guy or a typical fatass american nerd that had bad experiences (or none at all?) with girls which explains your hate for bishoujos. Tbh, I’m quite glad that I don’t have it like you.

    • Nameless  On 11/11/2011 at 8:39 pm

No need to get mad my friend. I retract everything I’ve said to and, everyone else and apologize for any disturbance/trouble I’ve caused around here.

Anime and comics are my passion. I recall Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura were my first two animes I watched by when I was little kid before I got into original Spiderman and Avenger comics. Both were awesome and I’ll never forget those moments I had in my youth.

K-ON! itself is a great anime. It may lack “plot” but it does so to make way for heavy characterization in the slice of life. Who wouldn’t like it? My favorites are Azusa, Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi, ..(what the heck the whole cast).

Bishoujo and Moe girls rock!! They are additively want lured me in to anime(that and the fact Anime places heavy emphasis on realism that most of our American cartoons would die to have).

Yes, its pretty silly of me to be bashing visual novels, especially when I’ve been hooked on them for quite away. But yes, visual novels are like animated manga, actually one step ahead of them. My favorite genres in visual novels include action, suspense, romance, Bishoujo, Moe-eroge, Yuri, and Otome. I find myself drawn to these games because you feel like the characters are drawn to you. Its amazing what all of the people behind all this stuff can do, isn’t it?

Again, sorry guys for being a pain in the ass. Hope to see you again the the future(more like, please don’t come back huh :P).

      • Demon  On 30/12/2011 at 4:29 pm

I would like to emphasis the part of HEAVY Characterization.

      • arthurdarkshaw  On 16/01/2012 at 4:36 am

Sorry, but I have completely lost my trace here! You say you are in north pole, then say no, you are in south pole, then then again say you forgot to mention that you were in north pole !!! Just where are you? Or, what are you? Someone with two souls stuck in the same body???

  • No Face  On 14/11/2011 at 10:22 pm

Well overall, I find nothing wrong with girls liking visual novels. I’m a girl, I love visual novels and although admittedly I play more otome games and BL but I still have tried and liked eroge before. I don’t particularly like the dejiko loli types but am more for the cool beauty? Though, I like 100% finish so I end up going through every route…

I think some guys might find me strange… oh well, I support girls who like VN~

Aaeru, I’m curious when did you start learning Japanese?

    • Aaeru  On 15/11/2011 at 10:36 am

End of 2008 when I really really wanted to play Sakaagari Hurricane but I couldn’t. So I crunched through the Kanji in 2009, http://visualnovelaer.wordpress.com/2010/09/30/how-to-read-visual-novels-in-2-years-time-step-by-step-guide/ and then later on Little Busters became my first primer for vocabulary ww

      • color iustitiae  On 15/11/2011 at 1:15 pm

Thanks for the quick reply. I was curious cause’ I’m about to complete my first year of Japanese study next month. I know roughly around 1600 Kanji and my lexicon is nearing 5,000. I’m currently half way through “A Dictionary of Intermediate Japanese Grammar” (a whopping 750 pages! lol but it’s the best grammar book for Japanese) It’s been a very rough first year, but I can see a the light.
Currently I can roughly understand at best 50% of a simple visual novel, but I want to eventually enjoy the more complicated ones like Steins; Gate and Dunamis 15 (God, they look so good >.<)

Around what stage of your learning were you first able to fully enjoy a VN? I'm just looking for a little bit of inspiration.

When were you first able to fully enjoy a VN without consulting a dictionary?

  • Aaeru  On 15/11/2011 at 1:23 pm

Whoa you are like 1 month’s work away from reading a full eroge (on PC) from where you’re standing. Just fire up something like Little Busters or Flyable Hearts and spam all the new vocabs you don’t know into Anki while making sure you continue to srs the remaining and previously acquired kanji. No more than 30 days and you will be reading eroge on your own (with Translation Aggregator as help ofcourse). I guarantee it.

and drop that dictionary of intermediate grammar immediately imo, that’s a reference book your brain is not a dictionary it needs to learn through context. feeding dictionary entries into your mind I think is inefficient

    • color iustitiae  On 17/11/2011 at 3:00 pm

Thank you. I was starting to feel a little burnt out, but your encouragement really helped. Thank you again.

  • Okajima  On 21/11/2011 at 3:03 am

Hi! I’ve just read about this site in Visual Novels Club on MyAnimeList. I love visual novels and eroge and I think your blog is simply great. Good work!

  • cristian  On 05/12/2011 at 12:31 pm

  • shc1209  On 08/12/2011 at 7:12 am

from your comments, i think you have a good personality :)

  • Demon  On 30/12/2011 at 4:30 pm

Um just to be sure this place is about hentai right?

    • Aaeru  On 30/12/2011 at 4:32 pm

sure is. in the west they call them hentai games. but here we just call them eroge because that’s what the Japanese call them.

      • Jack  On 29/03/2012 at 9:16 pm

What about non-pornographic visual novels, like Witch on the Holy Night from Type-Moon?

  • Aedes  On 16/01/2012 at 12:16 pm

Hi Aaeru. Still hanging in there? Making progress on your “secret” project? Yeah, I agree there are better ways to reach you. But I stumbled upon this page and so here I am.
